Araucariaceae Araucaria hunsteinii K. Schum.

Etymology
Araucaria refers to ‘Araucania’, the region where A. araucana is found and its indigenous people (Mapuche) are also similarly called ‘Araucanians’.
hunsteinii refers to collector C. Hunstein.

Habitat
The natural habitats for Araucaria hunsteinii are subtropical/tropical moist lowland forests, subtropical/tropical moist montane forests. It is naturally found at an elevation of at least 2100 up to 2100 metres. There are no conifers associated with Araucaria hunsteinii that are known of.
