Etymology
Araucaria refers to ‘Araucania’, the region where A. araucana is found and its indigenous people (Mapuche) are also similarly called ‘Araucanians’.
angustifolia refers to ‘narrow leaves’; indicating its leaves are narrower than those of A. araucana.
